This was always going to be such a lovely wedding – as Michelle and Martyn are both such lovely people! It was just perfect when they asked me to be their wedding photographer at Yorebridge House for their Spring wedding day. And what a really special day it was in a beautiful boutique hotel in the Yorkshire Dales. A March wedding is always going to be a tad on the chilly side but we were lucky enough to have some sunshine along with a very strong Dales wind. But that didn’t deter these two one bit – and as you can see Michelle’s veil turned into a rather impressive sculpture in some of the shots!

Bridal preparation began in the morning and I joined Michelle and her team of flower girls and Mums at Yorebridge as they busily got ready and the excitement built for the day.

Michelle had chosen so many thoughtful touches for her day, including calligraphy signage by Sally Jane Calligraphy and her colour scheme for her flowers and table details I thought was absolutely gorgeous.

Rustic and stylish in equal measure with a touch of vibrancy for a spring wedding day was the ideal combination.

With a relaxed ceremony followed by a drinks reception outside (yes, it was just about warm enough!) we managed to head off for some fun portraits which Michelle and Martyn laughed their way through and braved the strong winds so brilliantly! Yorebridge House is such a fantastic location for wedding photography, as it has intimacy and style and is set against the backdrop of the stunning Yorkshire Dales hills. Michelle and Martyn’s wedding day was simply a beautiful one to photograph.

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer at Yorebridge House I’d love to hear from you….(we can create some veil art too)!
