What a pleasure and a privilege it was to be Naomi and Rob’s wedding photographer at Blossom Barn, near Holmfirth. This beautifully remote and rustic wedding venue is part of Applewood Weddings who I love working with because they’re so down to earth and care a great deal about their couples.

As a wedding venue in Yorkshire, this is perfect for the bride and groom who want to do their wedding their way, because they absolutely can! It was my first time photographing at this Yorkshire barn wedding venue and I loved it!

I joined Naomi and Rob just before their ceremony which was so intimate and personal and very emotional too.

They chose a relaxed afternoon tea for their wedding breakfast (which I can vouch for being delicious)! and their tables were decorated with vintage tea cups full of locally grown flowers by Flowers from the Garden. And just what about the bridal bouquet?! It was a riot of spring colour and was just the perfect contrast to this rural wedding barn setting.

I always love it when my couples trust me to go with the flow and because we had already got to know each other on their engagement shoot at Bolton Abbey in the Yorkshire Dales, it really helped when it came to Naomi and Rob’s wedding day portraits. So everything just flowed in a really relaxed way, which is just perfect for my style of photography.
