If you love dogs at weddings this is a blogpost for you!
Back in 2019 when the world new nothing of a certain virus and social distancing was unheard of, I captured a wedding in the Yorkshire Dales which I haven’t yet shared – so here it is!
Rebecca & Kyle married in the Yorkshire countryside with their adorable Labrador being a key part of their day – and rightly so! If you know me or have seen my work on social media, you’ll already know that I love dogs – I photograph them here at www.theyorkshiredogphotographer.com and so when my world as a Yorkshire wedding photographer and as a Yorkshire dog photographer combine, it’s a wonderful thing!
The Devonshire Fell Hotel in Burnsall is also super dog friendly so couples can rest easy in the knowledge that they can share their wedding day with their treasured four-legged family member.
This special wedding day in the Yorkshire Dales began with some getting ready photographs at the hotel followed by a lovely church service in Burnsall. Whilst I could only capture from the back of the church, this made for some lovely moments during the ceremony where of course Rebecca & Kyle’s Labrador boy was chief ring bearer. And he even ran down the aisle on his own to do so!
With vintage transport for guests as well as the bride and groom, this was very much a quintessentially English wedding day in the Yorkshire countryside.
I had already captured the bride and groom on their pre-wedding shoot so they knew me and their wedding photographs felt nicely relaxed as a result. They had personalised their wedding day with some really thoughtful touches and with the timings of the day being relaxed and not rushed, we had some additional time down the river for some portraits just as the light was becoming soft and we had the village pretty much to ourselves.
If you’re thinking about your Yorkshire wedding photography, my collections are very flexible and I love to capture intimate wedding days, elopements in the Yorkshire hills and of course dogs at weddings too!
